The Jaguar Pride Association and the Johnson Athletic Department will be hosting a Middle School Night meet-and-greet meeting on Monday May 21, 2012. The Meeting will be held on the hilltop in the Johnson Auditorium.

All prospective Freshman Athletes and Parents are encouraged to attend the meeting that starts at 7:00PM. The meeting will be highlighted by an introduction of the coaching staff for next school year as well as information on how parents can get involved with the Jaguar Pride Association (JPA).

The JPA will be selling merchandise and signing up new members during the meeting. All of Johnson sports coaching staffs will be made available at the end of the meeting for individual questions. We encourage everyone to arrive early as we are expecting a huge crowd as we kick off the class of 2016 High School sports careers.

Johnson Jaguars Established 2008

The Johnson training staff is asking that all athletes that have Pre-Paid their $15 for their annual physical at Blossom this Saturday be at Johnson by 9:30AM Saturday morning.

The 2012 mass physical day at Blossom will be held this Saturday and Johnson athletes should be pre-paid and signed up for the physical session with the Johnson Athletic training staff. Each athlete needs to be at Johnson this Saturday May 19th by 9:30AM with all of their forms filled out. Forms can be found here.

The Johnson physical start at Blossom at 11:00AM and Athletes MUST ride the bus from Johnson. Athletes can NOT drive to Blossom or have their parents drive them to Blossom.

Mass physicals are conducted to assess if athletes are physically able to participate in their sport(s). What is covered: Medical History, Basic Cardio Screening, Basic Medical Screening and Basic Musculoskeletal Screening. What is not covered: Vision test, Hearing test, In-depth Cardio-Vascular Evaluations and (EKGs or ECHOs).

This Physical Packet includes necessary forms the athlete must have in order to participate in UIL activities next year. All forms need to be completed, signed and returned (regardless if they do not get a physical through the school) to their Coach or Athletic Trainer. This Packet includes:

1. Cover Sheet – Vital information needed about physical procedures

2. NEISD/Team Doctor Release Form (Back-to-Back) – Signatures are needed for proper releases for NEISD and Team Doctors.

3. Medical History/Physical Form (Blue):
Medical History Form – Questions that have a ‘Yes’ reply must have an explanation and/or any doctor notes/releases attached.
Physical – will be completed by the Athletic Trainers and Team Doctors

Athletes that do not get cleared for participation will receive a note explaining why and what needs to be done in order to be cleared. If you have any questions, please contact Tim Moore or Jenn Dodge at Johnson.
